Henda Y. Hsu is an associate professor of criminology and criminal justice at University
of Houston-Clear Lake. He received his Ph.D. in criminal justice from the University
at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY), after serving as a law enforcement
official in New York. His research focuses on crime and terrorism prevention, with
a particular focus on unintended consequences of anti-terrorism measures. His other
interests lie in criminological theory, policing and time-series analysis. Some of
his works have appeared in journals such as Criminology & Public Policy, Journal of
Experimental Criminology, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Justice Quarterly,
and Terrorism and Political Violence.
