University of Houston-Clear Lake is a four-year university with more than 90 undergraduate and graduate degree programs and three doctoral programs from its four colleges. UHCL's 73,000 alumni are leaders in a variety of fields and include 10 astronauts, more than 400 CEOs and at least one best-selling author. UHCL is a destination for the arts with approximately 34,000 patrons attending exhibits in the Art Gallery and performances in the Bayou Theater in 2019.

Mechanical Engineering Program
This new program for fall 2018 prepares students for careers in many industries. Mechanical engineers are in high demand – especially in the Houston area. In Texas, the mean annual salary for a mechanical engineer is about 22 percent higher than the rest of the nation (U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics).
