Jeffrey Whitworth, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Whitworth earned his Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University before joining the finance faculty at UHCL, where he teaches corporate finance, derivatives, and portfolio management.

His research on ex-dividend stock price behavior and tax-efficient investing has been published in Financial Management, Real Estate Economics, Managerial Finance, and the Journal of Financial Planning. He has also assisted in the creation of web-based algorithmic problems and other supplements for several textbooks and has written articles for the Journal of Financial Education and the Journal of Instructional Techniques in Finance.

Dr. Whitworth has served as a director of the Southwestern Finance Association and is an active member of the Academy of Financial Services and the Financial Education Association.
