Technology Applications 7-12 Certificate

This state technology certificate has been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and is available to students who already hold a Texas teaching certificate. When you acquire a Technology Applications for 7-12 Certificate from University of Houston-Clear Lake, you'll are equipped to help your students achieve technology literacy by integrating technology into the curriculum.

Enhance Education through Technology

With nine semester hours of coursework that prepares you to create digital resources and teach advanced technological applications, you'll be able to offer students the essential technological skills they'll need to achieve their full potential as they continue their education and transition to the workforce. Upon completion of the coursework, you'll be ready to take the state administered Technology Applications 7-12 Texas Examinations of Educator Standards test, which is required to teach technology application courses to students in grades 7-12.

Please note, some graduate programs have special deadlines and requirements. For more information, go to How to Apply as a Graduate Student. The online application is scheduled to close for Graduate students after the Formal UHCL Student deadline of each semester.

Applying After the Priority Deadline

New, non-degree seeking, and returning UHCL students applying after the deadlines above may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the appropriate graduate enrollment counselor for more information. A $50.00 Late Registration Fee or $50.00 Late Payment may apply.
