UHCL’s general business program offers an affordable tuition, which is much lower than many other universities. Our recent graduates report first-year compensation equivalent that of graduates from Texas’ flagship universities. The return on your education is a great personal investment.
On average, UHCL General Business graduates earn 4.8% more than general business majors from other Houston area public universities.
The flexible, customizable business degree
The general business degree at the University of Houston – Clear Lake is the most flexible bachelor’s program in the College of Business. Your program features the same core courses in accounting, marketing, management, and finance taken by all business students, but students in this program enjoy more options for program completion than the specialized majors. Build your plan of study from dozens of regularly offered electives. You can choose your own electives or work with a specialized academic advisor to craft the academic plan that is right for you.
Your degree – fully online, face to face, or blended - the choice is yours
If you are transferring into UHCL with your Texas Common Core complete, the general
business degree can be completed in fully online. If you are starting out as a first
time in college student, some of your Texas Common Core courses may require face to
face classes.
All of your required upper-division business courses are available in fully online
or face to face options. We offer a robust choice of electives available which also
feature both face to face and fully online options. With classes offered year-round,
you can complete your education in a timely manner.
If you are transferring into the general business degree program following completion
of your Texas Common Core, you may be able to complete the program in as little as
two-years.
